Leatherology- Do I love it?

If you know me, you know I love finding, using, and promoting new brands and companies. I love when you can get a quality item outside the big labels. For a while, I had been wanting a small leather pouch with my initials on it.. I shopped around, searched high and low, but couldn't find anything that spoke to me. They all seemed either over priced, lacked any sort of excitement, or looked cheap. I had almost given up, I went as far as to look into getting a hot stamping machine, and then I stumbled upon Leatherology. I was immediately sucked in by the fact that they had SO many products to choose from. From full leather tote bags to monogrammed leather drink coasters. I toyed around with several options, played around with some concepts. Changed my mind, 15 times, until I made my final decision.

The first thing I was really taken with, was the packaging. They seem to realize that presentation
is important. It really adds to the luxury of a product and the over all feel. The box was sturdy. Not a cheap pop up box. The ribbon was elastic, and the dust cloth was suede. Branding is also crucial. A plain box and plain accoutrements, are lame. They seem like an after thought. So I was truly pleased to see everything was branded.

The item I ultimately decided on was this small pouch, in Kelly green. I went through several choices before coming to this conclusion.. I tried pink, red, almost settled on black.. and then I thought to myself "Why not green?". I've always liked green, it's never hurt me. It's an odd color, because it's associated with slime, and other disgusting fluids. (Which is kind of appealing to me, if we're being honest) But it's also the color of money, as well as my eyes. So GREEN it was. After opening it, studying it, and using it. I'm extremely happy with the color choice I made. Sometimes it pays off to have a little fun with your color selection.. So, with that out of the way, we can get into the bag its self.
The leather is very reminiscent of Hermes' Togo leather. It's a fully grained leather, with a lot of texture. I was very pleased with the overall feel of the bag. It's EXTREMELY soft. I can't stress that enough. It has no real structure to it, giving it a very relaxed look.. I chose gold for my stamping. The option to monogram was what really sold the item for me. Everything on their website has the option of stamping. And that's what makes them so special. The product feels like it's yours. Like it was made for you, because essentially it was. There is ZERO bleeding on the stamping. And it's lined up 100% with the stitching. I've been using it for about a week now, and there is zero chipping nor is there any seam pulls.
As for what it can hold.. I went into this wanting something I could put a few small things in. Stuff that would be easier to find if I needed it. In the above photo, I have my Vuitton cles, as well as my Hermes Vision agenda. They both fit with room to spare.. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase. They are super affordable, and still give you a luxe feeling.. If you're looking for a personalized leather accessory, I strongly suggest Leatherology
