Bag

NEW BAG!

By Snob - 4:13 PM

With my life spiraling out of control, relationships falling apart, and major hair regrets.. I was left with no choice other than to shop. I knew I wanted a new bag but didn't know where from. With winter looming ahead I knew I couldn't get anything bright or fun. I settled on "black" and then narrowed it down. I own black bags from almost every designer. In every shape, and every size.
I narrowed it down to Fendi, and then finally decided on the "Selleria" Peek-A-Boo.

The bag was delivered to me Saturday morning while I was on the phone with my friend Kyle. He was then treated an impromptu "unboxing", which he seemed to care about. So, in my typical fashion I droned on and on.
I was a little bummed that I didn't get a "Selleria" box? But I'm now thinking that may be for special orders only? Or they were pulling a "Louis Vuitton" on me and giving me whichever box was closest. Either way, who cares. I flipped open the box, removed the tissue paper, and dust bag, and feasted my eyes on my new baby. I was immediately pleased with the size and overall shape of the bag. And was happy to see it was minimally structured.

I'm obsessed with this leather. It's very similar to Hermes togo leather, in fact the entire construction of this bag is very similar to Hermes. From the sanded edges to the saddle stitch. You can tell someone too their time. "Selleria" means "Saddlery", and much like Hermes, Fendi take is taking extreme measures to make sure they deliver a luxury product. The seams are ridiculously thick (in a good way) which leads me to believe the bag can take a pounding. I'm not someone who carries massive amounts of stuff with me. I find that pointless. But there are times where I need to bring my MacBook with me, or a magazine, and this bag is PERFECT for both. However, I haven't really tested the bag out much, so those are just assumptions.. But I will give an update next month on how she's breaking in and how she's holding up! If you are interested in purchasing this version, you can buy it through Barneys.com. Here are some more pictures.
