Anya Hindmarch:STICKERSHOP

I want to start out this post by saying how much I enjoy things like this. Anything that allows you to make something your own. As most of you know, I'm a huge fan of "defacing" bags. I get nothing out of a crisp, perfectly preserved bag. So when Anya Hindmarch released "STICKERSHOP" I was all about it... but for some reason, could not bring myself to spend the (roughly) $330.00 I would need in order to spell my first name... then, yesterday it hit me "You don't need to buy them all..." So, I naturally settled on "Z" for my first, and now I will begin.

I chose Barneys as my place of purchase, they're relatively close so I knew I would get it by the next day, plus I had a gift card which needed to be spent. No matter what I buy, I have it gift wrapped. I always have. It's kind of an asshole move, since someone has to take time wrapping a "gift" in which I am not only the giver bu the receiver as well, but it makes me happy. Even though it's momentary and wasteful.

The packaging is nice. The box is thick, and it's a very textured material. Which I like. The care card and the information card are pretty standard. Nothing really jumped out at me.. Except the last part.

Not positive how true that is yet, since I do not have the item I plan to stick this on yet, but only time will tell!

I unpacked the sticker, and was really pleased in the detail work. You hear "sticker" and you don't immediately think "craftsmanship". But this had it.

The leather has various textures in it. Some parts are grainy, some parts smooth. It's not flat like a traditional sticker, but rather "puffy" and meticulous.

The leather is embossed and raised. Creating edge work patterns and shapes. I was honestly really blown away by the amount of detail work. It may have just been the weed, but this sticker was truly blowing my mind. I immediately went and ordered another one. So, stay tuned..
